San Augustine, Very Good. Waterhouse came to Texas in , settling with his parents in San Augustine. He had previously run away to serve in the Mexican War. He became a proserpous merchant and upon the out-break of the Civil War he helped to organize the 19th Texas Infantry. After the war he was engaged in land speculation. In March he was murdered in a hotel in Waco.
This document is a previously unknown report of the Committee of Safety, San Augustine A kind of grand jury, apparently.
